AXA Achievement Scholarships

The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. The scholarship is sponsored by the AXA Foundation, in association with U.S. News & World Report.

The 2015 program will be accepting applications from September 8, 2014 until 10,000 applications are submitted or 11:59 p.m. CST on December 15, 2014, whichever comes first. Your application MUST be one of the first 10,000 submitted electronically by the deadline date.

The scholarship is sponsored by the AXA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of AXA Advisors, LLC.

The 2015 program will be accepting applications from October 15, 2014 until 10,000 applications are submitted or 11:59 p.m. CST on February 1, 2015, whichever comes first. Your application MUST be one of the first 10,000 submitted electronically by the deadline date.

Who is eligible to apply?

Applicants to the AXA Achievementsm Scholarship in association with U.S. News & World Report must:
  • Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
  • Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2015-2016 academic year. Enrollment at an accredited postsecondary institution outside of the United States will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities.
Special consideration will be given to achievements that empower society to better face risk through education and action in areas such as financial, environmental, health and/or emergency preparedness.

Our scholarships winners are known as AXA Achievers. They are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities:
-Ambition and drive
-Determination to set and reach goals
-Respect for self, family and community
-Ability to succeed in college

Some of the remarkable accomplishments of our AXA Achievers include: establishing a nonprofit volunteer organization building wells in rural India to provide clean water; starting a literacy and leadership program for elementary school children; creating a multi-faceted anti-bullying campaign.

What will be awarded?

Fifty-two (52) students, known as AXA Achievers, will each receive a $10,000 scholarship. One recipient will be selected from each U.S. state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
From among the 52 recipients, ten (10) will be selected to receive an additional $15,000 scholarship. These National AXA Achievers will each be awarded scholarships totaling $25,000.
AXA Achievementsm Scholarships must be used for education-related expenses for undergraduate study only. Awards are not renewable; however, recipients may arrange to receive payment in installments over multiple years as long as the student continues to enroll in undergraduate study.
