Heritage Youth Awards


Are you a rising High School senior of Hispanic descent?

The Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards promotes young leaders who demonstrate leadership in the classroom and community in an effort to encourage their peers to use education as a vehicle for success.

Which Areas Qualify?
Youth Awards Regions include: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/Philadelphia/New Jersey, Phoenix, San Jose/San Francisco-Bay Area,Washington, DC, 

What do the winners look like?
The average GPA for the Youth Awardees is above a 3.75 with hundreds of hours of community service, patents on their innovations, published articles, established nonprofits and start-up companies, etc.

THE 2015 SUSAN STEELMAN BRAGATO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP


Seniors, 

Last year we had one student win this scholarship and we can definitely have it happen again!

The Bragato Scholarship program annually awards five deserving high school seniors, graduating from CCSA member schools with $2,000 scholarships. Scholarship awards will be payable to the recipient upon proof of his/her enrollment at an accredited four-year or two-year public or private university or college. AB 540 students are eligible to apply.
Award winners will be notified in January 2015 and will be featured on our website and in the program at the 22nd Annual California Charter Schools Conference, March 16-19, 2015.
The deadline to submit an application is 11:59pm PST on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Selection Criteria:
  1. Scholastic record must reflect a proven ability to succeed at a college or university level
  2. Student must be a graduating senior from a charter high school that is a current member of the California Charter Schools Association
  3. Student must demonstrate need for financial aid
Scholarship awards will be payable to the recipient upon proof of his/her enrollment into an accredited four-year or two-year public or private university or college.
