AMIGOS Youth Ambassadors Program

Are you in 9th, 10th or 11th grade, have at least two years of Spanish and have a lot of leadership and/or volunteer service experience?

If you answered YES to these questions, you could qualify to go on an ALL-paid 3 week trip to Uruguay this summer.

AMIGOS Youth Ambassadors study community development, civic engagement, and leadership theories and practice through a three-week International Training. During their International Training, participants learn about and engage with US and South American history and culture through host family stays, service work with US and South American peers, and visits to cultural and historic sites. The International Training provides Youth Ambassadors with hands on experience in the design and implementation of Community-Based Initiative (CBI). After returning home from the International Training, each participant carries out a CBI in his/her home community.
-Tentative Trip Dates: June 25-July 17 2014
-Develop leadership skills and immerse yourself in the Uruguay culture
-Return home to carry out your project idea

Application deadline is: March 23, 2014
